I’m a writer, editor and producer for United Press International. I co-write our blog, The Daily Mix, which has garnered nearly 600,000 page views since its inaugural post on May 21, breaking for our readers President Obama’s decision to support same-sex marriage.
I also manage the content and growth of UPI’s social media, including Facebook and Twitter. Under my curation since the end of April, the number of Facebook fans has increased nearly 30 percent, and the number of our Twitter followers has grown almost 15 percent.
I’m a graduate of the Medill School of Journalism, having earned my Masters degree by reporting on education and public affairs and perfecting skills such as storytelling through
video and photography. I recently completed a three-month residency reporting for the Cambodia Daily in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
In may of 2010, I graduated from Tufts University with a degree in English and Music. I spent every spare second with the Amalgamates, singing, traveling and troublemaking. Occasionally, I wrote for the Tufts Daily and Salient Magazine when I studied abroad in Wellington, New Zealand. I also interned with WBUR radio in Boston.
I keep my resume more or less up to date online, and can be contacted by the following methods:
